There Is Hope.
Whether you are in the adoption process or have welcomed home a child through adoption, you are not alone on the journey. There is hope in the form of practical teaching and resources to better equip parents and caregivers.
Hope for the Journey
Children and teens can often carry unique, sometimes complex needs, and building trust, connection, and safety with them can be a daunting challenge. With research based in TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®), Show Hope’s Hope for the Journey is your gateway to a wealth of knowledge, understanding, and practical tools to build connection, trust, and togetherness within your family. This online resource is ideal for parents and caregivers but also churches aimed at serving well children and families as well as organizations committed to providing holistic care for children and families.
Additional Support
There are points in the journey when we need others to come alongside us. That may be a professional, such as a counselor or therapist, who has received specialized training in how to best support families impacted by adoption and/or foster care. It could also be parents who have been on a similar road and now offer classes and community for other families. Follow the link below to find resources in your community or to learn more about upcoming training opportunities.

Medical Care Grants
Many children who have been orphaned live with medical needs, with limited access to adequate healthcare. And once home, rising medical costs and access to treatment can be overwhelming for families.
Since the fall of 2020, Show Hope has offered Medical Care grants to financially assist families with medical expenses for their children welcomed home through adoption.
Today, the average Show Hope Medical Care grant is $6,000 and can be applied to varying procedures, treatments, equipment, and rehabilitative therapies.
